- The expanded investigation could cover around 4,500 patients over five years, addressing systemic issues including a 30 per cent re-excision rate—double the regional average—linked to a 2015 'service configuration'.
- Board chair Alison Marshall offered 'sincere' apologies for the harm caused; members of the 150-strong Pink Justice Network continue calling for a public inquiry to ensure justice for affected families.
- The Trust stated it 'must identify and contact affected individuals' rather than relying on patients to seek help, rectifying a process where 283 patients were initially missed by original criteria.
