Taiwan High Speed Rail, the first railway system overseas to adopt technology from Japan's Shinkansen, has decided to introduce a new type of train based on the Shinkansen. The new train cars arrived in Kaohsiung, Taiwan on August 15 and were lifted from the ship to the port by crane in the presence of more than 300 people from Japan and Taiwan.
