- Brazil represents a strategic market for Nestlé's nutrition business; Nestlé Brasil CEO Marcelo Melchior said the nutrition division is among the company's "four strategic growth priorities globally and in Brazil."
- The nutrition allocation represents about 30% of the 7 billion reais Nestlé has earmarked for Brazil between 2025 and 2028. Construction begins in 2027 with operations launching in 2028, producing Nestogeno, Nestonutri, Ninho 1+, and Ninho 3+ infant formulas.
- Around 100 new jobs are expected to be created, while Nestlé is expanding its existing Aracatuba complex in Sao Paulo to increase supply to the Brazilian market, currently served partly through imports.
- Nutrition accounts for around 20% of Nestlé's global turnover, said Jeff Hamilton, Head of the Americas. The company aims to increase whey production—a key infant formula ingredient—by 15% by 2029, supporting long-term supply chain expansion.
