For a few days now, NATO air forces have been active on the alliance's eastern flank. Above Poland and the Baltic, but above all in the airspace before the Russian exclave Kaliningrad, AWACS surveillance aircraft, reconnaissance and tankers have been on display on the (civil) transponder images since at least last Tuesday – probably the numerous jets, mostly without transponders, have to be thought about.
