Waxahachie Mother Accused of Killing Her Two Sons | FOX 4 Dallas-Fort Worth
Authorities said corroborating evidence led detectives to charge Colleen Nichole Lemmon with two counts of capital murder after both sons were shot.
On Thursday, authorities charged 42-year-old Colleen Nichole Lemmon with two counts of capital murder following the fatal shooting of her two sons at a home in Waxahachie, Texas.
Ellis County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to a 911 call at 4:13 a.m. Thursday at a home in the 900 block of Big Sky Drive, where they discovered two male victims suffering from gunshot wounds.
One victim, 21-year-old Christopher Scott Pitre, was pronounced dead at the scene, while the second victim, a 15-year-old boy, died later at a local hospital from his injuries.
Following treatment at a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries, Lemmon was booked into the Wayne McCollum Detention Center; her bond is currently pending arraignment.
Detectives developed probable cause that Lemmon was responsible for the shooting, prompting Ellis County Sheriff Brad Norman to express sympathies to the victims' father and family in this "tragic incident.
