‘Mission accomplished’: Parks Canada celebrates first release of captive-bred caribou into Jasper’s wild herd

After a decade of planning, and about two years of monitoring and breeding caribou at a facility away from predators, Parks Canada released its first cycle of captive caribou into Jasper's Tonquin Valley. Just as Parks staff expected, the wild caribou have accepted the once-captive animals as their own.
