Chileans protest against education cuts
Santiago, Chile, Oct 1 (Prensa Latina) Under the slogan "Not a single peso less for education," thousands of students and workers will reject the public sector austerity policies implemented by President Jose Antonio Kast's government.
The peaceful mobilization was called by the Confederation of Students of Chile (Confech) around the discussion of Budget 2027. It is supported by the Central Unitaria de Trabajadores de Chile (CUT), the Coordinadora Feminista 8M, the Colegio de Profesores y Profesores de Chile, and other unions and organizations.
From 10:00 a.m. traffic cuts will be made at different points in the capital.
