By winning the brutal 12th stage of this year's Tour de Spain, Jakob Omrzel (20) became the youngest Slovenian cyclist to win a stage in a three-week race (Grand Tour), thus once again confirming that he is one of the most outstanding and promising gems of Slovenian cycling.
The Slovenian Omrzel was awarded the day after completing the 166.6 kilometers between Vera and Calar Alto Observatory in four hours, 29 minutes and 53 seconds.
