- The 151.3km stage took riders inland from Cartagena through the Murcia region on a largely flat route, earmarked as a day for the sprinters.
- Guided by Belgian Wout Van Aert, Brennan launched his decisive attack with 150m remaining, finishing ahead of Bryan Coquard and Jordi Meeus. "We took the initiative today again," Brennan said of his team's effort.
- Movistar's Enric Mas retained his red jersey with a one minute and 18 seconds lead over Primoz Roglic, while Lidl-Trek confirmed Mads Pedersen withdrew due to illness.
- At 21, Brennan has earned 22 professional wins since joining Visma-Lease a Bike, making him the first cyclist to win three times in a debut Grand Tour since Tadej Pogačar in 2019.
