Rapist jailed for attacking woman in her caravan after Royal Windsor Horse Show
A unanimous jury convicted Dinnage after forensic and digital evidence contradicted his account of the attack, police said.
On July 30, Reading Crown Court sentenced Ryan Dinnage to eight years and six months in prison for raping a woman in her caravan following the Royal Windsor Horse Show.
The offence occurred in the early hours of May 16, 2022, when Dinnage entered the victim's caravan after she finished working at the equestrian event; Thames Valley Police arrested him the following day.
A jury unanimously found Dinnage guilty of rape on June 8, as forensic and digital evidence from his mobile phone contradicted his claim of consensual activity.
Detective Constable Arshid Ali, the investigating officer, praised the victim's "courage and strength," noting "This has been a long and difficult process for the victim," spanning more than four years.
Thames Valley Police urges anyone affected by sexual assault to contact authorities on 101, reaffirming commitment to investigating such offences and bringing perpetrators to justice.
