Major Delays After M6 Crash
National Highways said delays are exceeding 60 minutes and congestion has stretched back around three miles after the M6 crash.
Emergency services are responding to a collision on the motorway this afternoon; Lancashire Police and Cumbria Police are assisting at the scene.
The collision occurred at around 12:45pm, blocking the northbound carriageway near junction 35 and causing significant traffic disruption.
One lane remains shut between Lancaster and Carnforth while emergency services work; traffic is passing through lanes two and three, but considerable tailbacks persist.
National Highways has warned that delays are exceeding 60 minutes ahead of the incident, with congestion stretching significantly back along the route.
Members of the public are advised to seek alternative routes and allow extra time for journeys, with further updates to follow as emergency services continue their work.
