The $1 billion megaproject, funded entirely by the filmmaker, opens in Los Angeles with a valuable private collection.
On Tuesday, the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art will open in Los Angeles. Over a billion US dollars have been invested in the project by Star Wars creator George Lucas and his wife Mellody Hobson. The museum, architecturally reminiscent of a UFO, combines "high and popular art: Frida Kahlo meets the Jedi Knights.
