- The gospel choir Voices of Fire performed with Jon Batiste on piano and 75 additional singers during the formal program. Later, a DJ lineup energized the dance floor as the celebration extended into the evening.
- Lucas stated, 'Art is in the eye of the beholder,' emphasizing that visitors decide what is meaningful to them. The museum now anchors a permanent home for narrative art, showcasing his decades of collecting in Los Angeles.
