The Ruhrtriennale looks to the future. It is the last edition under Artistic Director Ivo van Hove. Highlights are a four-hour performance piece by Marina Abramović and a Bowie music theatre.
The Ruhrtriennale begins this evening in the Bochumer Jahrhunderthalle. The program features the premiere of the music theatre piece "Rebel Rebel" on songs by David Bowie.
More than 100 events bring theatre, music and art to five cities in the Ruhr area. Songs by David Bowie will be premiered in addition to free art in the pedestrian zone.
This evening the Ruhrtriennale starts - the international festival for theatre, dance, music and art in the Ruhr region. For four weeks industrial monuments are transformed into large stages.
