Letter to the editor: Saddened to be called ineligible to serve due to house fire

I was saddened to hear Clark Lipscomb and Parnell Quinn suggested at the Dec. 3 Town Board meeting I am not eligible to serve as Chair of the Fraser Planning Commission because I am not currently living in town. Because of the heroics of several of my neighbors the shell of my home was saved from a lightning strike caused natural gas fire on Sept. 9 which was likely 90 seconds away from consuming my 107-year-old residence.
