The human remains found on August 6 near Smiths Falls are those of Lawrence Bertrim, a 42-year-old man who had been missing since September 2022. According to the Ontario Provincial Police, the cause of his death has not yet been determined. Disturbingly, these are the third human remains to have been found on the same property on Kelly-Jordan Road, in the Township of Montague, in the last year, those of Robert Lambert and Robbie Thomson.
