The Chilean Navy carried out to the President of the Republic, José Antonio Kast, a demonstration of its operational and combat capabilities in the Strait of Magellan, in which units of the National Squadron, Submarine Force, Naval Aviation and personnel of the Marine Corps (CIM) and the Special Forces Command (Comfues) participated.
The exercise included tactical maneuvers, real fire, anti-submarine operations, boarding of boats and resupply at sea. The institution clarified that the activity was planned prior to the controversy by the strait.
