Cook County sheriff’s deputies blocked the street as investigators entered and exited the municipal hall, and officials gave no details on the probe.

Some officers could be seen carrying boxes out of the hall. There were also officers visible inside the administrative building through the front windows and squad cars parked in the lot outside. But this isn't the first time the village hall has been under scrutiny. The last mayor of Ford Heights resigned in 2024 after he was convicted of stealing tens of thousands of dollars from the city.
