EV retail sales rise 53% in August to 2.98 lakh units: FADA

Electric vehicle retail sales in August grew 52.9 percent year-on-year. The two-wheeler segment led this growth with 1,83,204 units sold. Electric passenger vehicle sales also increased to 30,696 units last month. Three-wheeler sales rose 25.28 percent, while commercial vehicles nearly tripled. Overall EV penetration reached 12.3 percent from 9.5 percent a year ago.
