Chhattisgarh is facing widespread disruption after heavy rainfall caused the Kharun River to rise and flooded roads and villages in parts of Raipur and Durg. Rail services were also affected after waterlogging and track subsidence on the Durg-Dallirajhara section. Several trains were cancelled or curtailed, while heavy rain has also inundated low-lying areas and disrupted connectivity elsewhere in the state.

Continuous rainfall over the past 24 hours has led to flood-like conditions in several parts of Chhattisgarh, with rising water levels of the Kharun River causing waterlogging in villages across Raipur and Durg districts.
Heavy rains in many parts of Chhattisgarh over the past two to three days have now affected rail services. Rail traffic has been affected by the sinking of rail tracks.
