The state government in Bern presents existing and additional measures against heat and drought.
The Confederation will further support the protection of forests and agriculture, two sectors particularly affected by drought and heat. The Federal Council released 17.5 and 54 million francs respectively for this purpose on Wednesday.
After the heat summer, Federal Councillor Albert Rösti announced what measures the Federal Government intends to take in the future. It is the first time that the Federal Council has officially expressed itself on the subject.
