Govt to crack down on unregulated e-commerce platform
PUTRAJAYA: The government will begin taking action on Wednesday (Aug 26) against unregulated e-commerce platforms, following almost 2,000 public complaints over online scams, questionable halal labels and uncertified electrical and electronic products.
Government spokesman Fahmi Fadzil said the move was part of the government's efforts to strengthen regulation of e-commerce platforms to ensure consumers are protected.
