THE Bahamas should not allow foreign technology companies or consultants to control critical government systems in ways that leave the country unable to audit them, retrieve its data or switch providers, Innovation and National Development Minister Sebastian Bastian said yesterday, warning that technological dependence could become a modern form of “digital colonialism”.
