Flights halted out of Newark and Philadelphia after air traffic equipment failure
The outage at Philadelphia TRACON disrupted hundreds of flights and forced diversions, with FlightAware reporting more than 600 delays at Newark and Philadelphia.

- Officials expect the ground stop to be lifted by 11:15 a.m., but there is a 30 to 60% chance the pause could be extended, creating uncertainty for travelers.
- The Federal Aviation Administration is expected to release more information shortly, and travelers are urged to check with their airlines for individual flight status before heading to airports.
