Following a directive from the Punjab and Haryana High Court, the Moti Nagar police have registered cases against 256 people in connection with 134 land deals allegedly registered at underpriced prices between 2013 and 2016 in the Ludhiana East subdivision. The accused include officials of the Punjab Housing Board. Following this action, nearly 2,000 land deals registered at the Sub-Registrar East office have been sealed.
