'End of an era' as long-running family chip shop to be sold after 67 years

A Montrose chip shop which has been run by the same family for 67 years is set to be sold as its long-serving owners prepare to retire.

Marie Rivollier devoted 54 years of her life to her business in Lamure, one of the three villages in the commune of Lajarasse (Rhône) which has 1,800 inhabitants. She stopped her business at 82 years old. Very moved, it was no joy of heart that she closed shop on Sunday 9 August.
