'Preconceived Plan': Eight Charged After Party Death
Police say the victim suffered critical head injuries as detectives charged eight teenagers and linked the case to an out-of-control house party.
Eight teenagers now face murder charges following the death of 21-year-old Jongkuch Peter Kur Jongkuch Achiew, who suffered catastrophic head injuries at an out-of-control house party in Bahrs Scrub, Queensland, on July 26.
Police allege the group executed a 'preconceived plan' to inflict harm, arming themselves with various weapons before descending upon the short-term rental property where violence erupted.
Detectives initially charged four teens on Thursday before locating an additional four suspects at short-term accommodation in Morayfield on Sunday, bringing the total charged to eight.
The suspects, aged 17 to 19, face court on Monday as Detective Inspector Ian Galpin praised community cooperation, calling it 'nothing short of amazing' in aiding the investigation.
Police warn further arrests remain possible as liaison officers work with community leaders to prevent retaliation following the fatal incident at the Discovery Boulevard home.
