In Greece, 58 new cases have been identified in the West Nile virus outbreak in the past week, bringing the total number of cases to 290.
In total, since the beginning of the West Nile virus surveillance period, a total of 290 domestic cases of West Nile virus infection have been diagnosed and reported in Greece, of which 199 cases presented with Central Nervous System manifestations (CNS, encephalitis and/or meningitis and/or acute flaccid paralysis) and 91 cases had mild manifestations/no CNS manifestations.
