VIENNA. Over the past two years, the Equal Treatment Office has seen a sharp increase in both requests and cases of discrimination.
In the past two years, the Equal Treatment Office has seen a sharp increase in both requests and cases of discrimination. In 2024 and 2025, 9,268 inquiries were processed, corresponding to an increase of 31 per cent over the two previous years, while the number of discrimination cases increased by 33 per cent, as shown in the report on equal treatment for the private sector. A significant increase in personnel is required.
