The scope of tax monitoring for commercial activities conducted via the internet and digital platforms has been expanded. With the amendment to the General Communiqué on the Tax Procedure Law, not only e-commerce sites but also social media platforms that post advertisements are now included in the audit mechanism and are obligated to report to the relevant authorities.

E-commerce sites such as Sahibinden, Trendyol, and Dolap, as well as Instagram and Facebook, have been included under the supervision of the Revenue Administration. These platforms are now obligated to transmit information about online sellers and the advertisements they post to the Revenue Administration.
