The U.S. authorities have denounced on Wednesday the "unjust detention" of Cuban journalist Henry Constantin, of the magazine La Hora de Cuba, by the "Cuban regime," an arrest that, they have lamented, constitutes a "reprisal for reporting the truth and revealing the abuses" of the Cuban government.

The ruling came a day before the Camagüey Provincial Court rejected the application for habeas corpus, whose decision the organization was calling for without delay.

RSF demands the release of Henry Constantín, director of La Hora de Cuba, imprisoned in Kilo 7 since September 16 in his 19th documented detention.
