The National Anti-Corruption Directorate (DNA) announced that it had brought to justice Cristian Anton, the head of the Romanian Road Authority (ARR), whom the prosecutors accused as the leader of a group that collected tens of thousands of euros from several candidates who were willing to pay to obtain fraudulently certified professional training.
According to the investigators, Anton would have coordinated the activity of the group, receiving tens of thousands of euros bribe only for examinations organized in March of this year. Moreover, at his home were found, at the search, about 500,000 euros, hidden in boxes of shoes.
