Former Indian Cricketer Sreesanth's Father Dies at 89
The former Indian cricketer’s father died of cardiac complications after a recent hospital stay, and the body will be taken to the family home for homage and funeral rites.
- V. Santhakumaran Nair, father of former Indian cricketer Sreesanth, died at 89 on Friday at Lisie Hospital in Kochi due to cardiac complications.
- The 89-year-old had been admitted to Lisie Hospital earlier in the week with a history of cardiac ailments. Family sources confirmed he died at 9:45 pm on Friday.
- Surviving family members include his wife, Savithri Devi, and children Deepu Santh, Niveditha, Divya, and Sreesanth. His children-in-law include Kalpana, Captain Sajith, playback singer Madhu Balakrishnan, and Dhuvaneshwari.
- Following the arrival of relatives from abroad, his remains will be taken to the family home in Kothamangalam on Sunday. The body will be kept for public homage starting at 10 am.
- Cremation will be held at 4 pm on Sunday at the Kothamangalam family home. The retired LIC zonal manager will be remembered through the day's final rites.
