Construction to repair safety barriers along U.S. Highway 40 to begin Monday, Oct. 5

Colorado Department of Transportation crews will begin construction to repair damaged safety barriers along U.S. Highway 40 on the east side of Steamboat Springs near Sky Valley Drive, or near mile point 141.2, with work starting Monday, Oct. 5, said Routt County Public Information Officer Amanda Shepherd.  Work will take place from the hours of 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., with the project requiring reduced speeds, width restrictions of 10 feet and tempor…
