SC gets three new judges, working strength goes up to 37
On Monday, three judges were appointed to the Supreme Court, increasing its working strength to 37. Justice Sunita Agarwal, Justice Devendra Kumar Upadhyaya, and Justice Aparesh Kumar Singh have been elevated. The Supreme Court Collegiumn had recommended their names on September 28 for this elevation. The sanctioned strength of the Supreme Court was recently raised from 34 to 38 judges.
Three new judges have been appointed in the Supreme Court. After the oath taking of all three, the number of judges in the Supreme Court will increase to 37, while one post is still vacant.
