Cadbury makes change to longstanding chocolate bar launching in stores in autumn
The new format features two finger-like bars in one wrapper and will sell in 32-packs for £1.35, Mondelez International said.
Cadbury is expanding its Crunchie range this autumn by launching the Cadbury Crunchie Duo, which features two finger-like portions of the classic honeycomb-centered chocolate bar packaged within a single wrapper.
Following recent launches of Cadbury Twirl Xtra and Cadbury Starbar Duo, Mondelez International is rolling out this larger format to meet shifting consumer preferences for convenient snacking.
Phoebe Morris, brand manager at Mondelez International, said the company is responding to a "clear shift in consumer behaviour," with each bar priced at £1.35 and sold in packs of 32.
Separately, the Cadbury Moro Gold bar is now available after being imported from Australia; this treat, previously sold in Ireland, features a chocolate-flavored center with crunchy biscuit pieces layered in caramel.
By offering a familiar product in a new format, the Cadbury Crunchie Duo creates an "exciting way" to meet demand for on-the-go lifestyles as the company adapts its classic portfolio for modern snacking habits.
