BREAKING NEWS: China strongly protests over Japan ministers' visits to Yasukuni shrine
China's Ministry of National Defense protested Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi's and Defense Minister Shinjiro Koizumi's visits to the war-linked Yasukuni Shrine, calling it a desecration of historical justice.
Jiang Bin, a Chinese defense spokesman, described the shrine as a symbol of Japanese militarism responsible for harm to Asia-Pacific peoples.
Jiang accused Japanese politicians of denying wartime aggression and warned that advancing neo-militarism threatens regional peace.
He urged Japan to reflect on its war responsibility and learn from history to maintain peace with its Asian neighbors.
Beijing accuses Tokyo of "covering" war crimes and warns against Japanese remilitarization following the visit of Defense Minister and other cabinet members
