Six, Including 3-Year-Old, Killed as Speeding Truck Collides with SUV in Maharashtra
Police said a speeding truck hit a Bolero carrying laborers, killing six people and injuring seven others in a head-on crash.
- On Tuesday, a road accident near Nagra village on the Maharashtra-Madhya Pradesh state highway left six dead and seven injured. A high-speed truck collided head-on with a Bolero five kilometers from Gondia city.
- Laborers from Balaghat district in Madhya Pradesh were traveling to Hyderabad for work in the Bolero. Families from villages including Kirnapur and Lanji were inside the vehicle when the collision occurred.
- Villagers and passersby rushed to the scene after hearing the loud crash. The impact completely shattered the Bolero, trapping victims in the wreckage until they were removed using a gas cutter.
- Gondia Rural Police arrived to lead rescue operations and transport victims to the district hospital. Based on a statement from injured resident Rajendra Shivcharan Pandhare, officers registered an FIR against the truck driver.
- Authorities charged truck driver Mohsin Khan, 32, under the Indian Penal Code and Motor Vehicles Act. The case includes sections 281, 106, 125, and 125 of the BNS for reckless driving.

At least six killed, seven others injured in horrific road accident near Gondia in Maharashtra
The incident was reported when the speeding truck collided head-on with a pickup truck at 12:30 pm. Three people died on the spot while 11 others died in hospital with serious injuries. The victims were laborers from Balaghat district of Madhya Pradesh who were travelling to Hyderabad for work.
