Already-resigned Loke refuses to entertain fresh quit calls over Zetrix AI controversy

The ministry said the companies collected government revenue but failed to remit it, and public services will continue through alternative channels.

  • Transport Minister Anthony Loke Siew Fook suspended payment services through MyEG Group and Zetrix AI Berhad on October 5, citing their failure to transfer RM314 million in collected government revenue to the Road Transport Department .
  • Loke clarified the arrears accumulated only since May, rejecting claims the debt remained unpaid for three years; the Finance Ministry had previously issued more than 30 reminder notices to the companies.
  • The companies submitted a RM231 million cheque dated September 30, but the bank rejected it following instructions from the company, Loke said. He dismissed social media calls from "ceplos" cybertroopers demanding his resignation over the non-payment.
  • Director-General Aedy Fadly Ramli stated RTD services will continue through alternative channels, including the MyJPJ application and mobile counters, while the ministry pursues legal action to recover the outstanding funds.
  • The suspension remains in effect until companies settle the entire outstanding balance, with the government assessing whether to resume services while preparing legal proceedings to recover funds owed to the Main Revenue Account.
