In Türkiye, motorcycles are involved in one out of every two traffic accidents, and it is noteworthy that motorcycle couriers are involved in 16% of these accidents. Experts evaluating the "Motorcycle Action Plan" announced by Interior Minister Mustafa Çiftçi pointed to the regulations they had been expecting.
Experts commented to Türkiye Gazetesi on Interior Minister Çiftçi's statement that one in two accidents in Türkiye are motorcycle-related and that a "Motorcycle Action Plan" has been prepared. They suggested that motorcycle couriers' working hours should be regulated and designated waiting areas for motorcycles should be created.
