42 families from Dilbeek, Lennik, and Roosdaal are taking the Belgian State to court due to increased noise pollution caused by low-flying aircraft. They are opposing the approach route from Brussels Airport over their homes, which is now used much more frequently than before. As a result, the number of legal proceedings against the so-called Crucke route continues to rise.
The citizens' collective Bruegelvogelvrij is taking 42 families from Flemish municipalities west of Brussels to court to challenge the so-called ‘Crucke route’. The families have summoned the Belgian State. They believe the new approach route to Brussels Airport was introduced unlawfully and point out the impact on their quality of life and night's rest. “Either the problem is solved, or it becomes a matter of moving,” they say.
