Security Forces Kill 10 Terrorists in Khuzdar IBO
Security forces acted on credible intelligence and intensified searches after the shootout, while officials praised the operation as a step against militancy.
On Saturday, security forces killed 10 terrorists during an intelligence-based operation in Khuzdar, Balochistan, following credible intelligence reports of 'Fitna al-Hindustan' militants in the Shor Parod area.
The federal government designated groups operating in Balochistan, including the Balochistan Liberation Army, as 'Fitna al-Hindustan' last year, accusing India of sponsoring a proxy war through these outfits.
Separately, police and security forces killed five terrorists during a joint operation in Bannu, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, on Saturday, led by Bannu District Police Officer Capt Muhammad Furqan Bilal.
President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif praised the security forces for the operations, vowing continued support for the fight against terrorism across the country.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi stated that 'Fitna al-Hindustan' terrorists and their facilitators will find "no place to hide," as forces vowed to continue operations until terrorism is completely eliminated.
