Zimbabwe has stopped all lithium exports in the short term and thus increased the price. However, for Europe's industry, this news could even be of benefit.
The country has decided to suspend sales of raw materials, including lithium, which are strategic for batteries. The measure is all the more significant as it applies immediately, including to minerals already in transit, and as it accelerates a schedule originally planned for 2027. A measure that aims to better control the sector and develop a local industry, but which places China in the forefront.
