On Monday, 22 June, the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, signed a law amending the 2026 state budget, with the primary aim of increasing expenditure on the security and defence sector.
President Volodymyr Zelensky signed a law on making sweeping changes to the state budget of Ukraine for 2026, which provides for an increase in spending on the security and defense sector by a record 1.56 trillion hryvnias.
