Ukraine is seeking 300 additional Patriot interceptor missiles for the winter as it works to strengthen its air and missile defenses, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said during the meeting with press on August 22. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky voiced the need for 300-360 missiles for the US-made Petriot air defense systems for defense in the coming winter of 2026-27, while he said that a total of 600 such missiles are produced per year.
