Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky tried to convince his US counterpart Donald Trump during a meeting on Tuesday to include Chinese President Xi Jinping in the peace talks. According to the Ukrainian head of state, Xi has influence over Russian President Vladimir Putin. Trump will meet with Sim on Wednesday.
Trump and Zelensky in New York also discussed Xi and China's participation in the peace settlement. The Ukrainian head notes that today everyone should work to end the war — “for the sake of the people”.
