- After the ceremony, Yuvraj Singh gave a pep talk to Indian team members in the pre-match huddle, while the Harmanpreet Kaur stand is located opposite the sightscreen.
- India skipper Suryakumar Yadav won the toss and elected to bowl first in the 2nd T20I, while Varun Chakravarthy struck early, dismissing Reeza Hendricks for 8 and later removing Aiden Markram.
