The Indonesian Ombudsman will investigate the discovery of cluster-like housing with apartment-standard facilities in the Class IIA Cibinong Penitentiary complex in Bogor Regency, West Java. Ombudsman member Syafrida Rachmawati stated that the investigation will determine who occupies the housing, when the building was built, and any possible maladministration.
Yusril stated that sanctions could be imposed on officials and employees of Cibinong Prison if the investigation proves violations, including if the facility is provided and commercialized for inmates. According to Yusril, the function of the facility must first be ascertained. An inspection is also necessary to determine who is using it and for what purposes.
