Argentina's YPF reports $1.21 billion second quarter profit
YPF announced that it closed the second quarter of the year with an unprecedented achievement: Between April and June, the EBITDA set a record of $2.804 billion, the largest in its history over a similar period, as well as a 43% margin on revenues, the highest in the past 20 years.
After closing a second quarter with record financial and operational results, the oil company revised upwards its main goals for the year and projected an adjusted EBITDA of about $8 billion.
The Argentine state oil company YPF obtained a net profit attributed to 1,605 million dollars (1,391 million euros) in the first half of the year, which means multiplying more than 47 times (4,620.6%) the result counted twelve months earlier.
