Investigators say the assaults involved the same suspects and ask residents to review CCTV and dashcam footage from the incident.
The Chilliwack RCMP are investigating two connected assaults that occurred early Sunday in the Sardis area, with both incidents happening in close proximity to one another at approximately 2 a.m.
While the two victims were not known to one another, RCMP allege the same suspects were involved in both attacks. Police closed Wells Road for several hours Sunday while investigators gathered evidence.
Officers responded to the first assault near Wells Road and Evans Road around 2 a.m., with the second incident involving a youth victim occurring shortly after in the same area.
One adult male victim received treatment for non-life-threatening injuries, while the youth remains in serious condition at the hospital following the assault.
Cst. Brennan Kish of the RCMP serious crimes unit is asking residents to review CCTV or dashcam video captured between midnight and 3 a.m. on Sunday to assist the investigation.
